I write to be at Peace with My Thoughts.

Joy and sorrow are so much a part of my life and the notion of being "balanced."
Like a seesaw: Joy on one side and Sorrow on the other.
"When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
They are inseparable. Only when you are empty are you at a standstill and balanced."
In the present, I feel quite balanced,
A rare occasion and one most fulfilling.
Although, how scary it is to dip into either side...
for it must always tip back & forth to reach it's equilibrium.
Our whole lives we'll be tipping back and forth to find that standstill and peace.
----
I have come to accept each season's passing in my life.
My heart in sorrow & my heart filled with joy.
It's times like these when I'm truly thankful in this brief halt of satisfaction.
I am hopeful and encouraged for i know some day I will conclude fully balanced.
That day is far in the horizon, but I have begun my journey.
Don't be alarmed by the end- for isn't birth's prelude one similar to death?
------
Let us aspire to bask in these essentials as we live through the seasons of life:
Love, Friendship, Reason & Passion, Joy & Sorrow.
Orange, red & yellow leaves once blew across my path, fluttering in the sky they danced down.
They fell to foreshadow the cool white flakes which drop from the great pines now.
A ghost, mimicking what was once before.
The snow lays dormant, peaceful and content.
As I, like the snow, am suspended in eternal white.
------
"Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul."
And since you are a breath in God's sphere, and a leaf in God's forest, you too should rest in reason and move in passion."
My power to love is boundless and my mind like a bird.
My thoughts carried on wings, yet caged by words.
Therefore seek friends and let your souls bask in each other's presence.
Here is where the spirit moves your tongue to speak such unclaimed thoughts.
"For your friend is your needs answered."
Exchanged truths stay embedded in your hearts-
Like a loaded memory is brought back by the simplest smell.
I urge you all to observe the colors of your spirit and examine the desires of your heart.
My secret to life:
Pray always, love more, & give grace.
